CPI Job Opportunity

Job Title: Targeted Project Re-Enterprise Case Manager/Trainer

Job Duties:

• Facilitate weekly pre-release psychoeducational groups and trainings at the state jail using Cognitive Behavioral curriculum
• Administer risk assessment tool for each client, and utilize in treatment planning
• Work with clients individually to create release plans
• Provide post release case management and support services for clients including; assisting clients in obtaining photo ID, clothing, and necessary resources for work
• Provide job coaching/counseling services for clients, assist with job search, including developing job leads and working with other community providers for case coordination
• Carry a caseload of 20-30 ex-offenders per month
• Facilitate a post-release support group for ex-offenders
• Maintain thorough case notes and documentation
• Offer and keep current a community resource guide for ex-offenders, make and sustain relationships with community service providers, stay current on referral partners services
• Work closely with MSW interns
• Requires use of private vehicle, local travel up to 50% and some transportation of clients
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in social work or related field (professional or life experience may substitute for educational requirement), experience with training, group facilitation, case management, and working with the incarcerated or formerly incarcerated population (professional or personal experience), experience counseling individuals with addictions to controlled substances, experience in workforce development and job coaching, excellent writing ability, word processing and database skills, high levels of resourcefulness and independent judgment, ability to work as a team member, a commitment to honor confidentiality of all case information, unconditional positive regard for former inmates and comfort in working one on one with that population
