2008 Art Beyond Bars Event: A Success!

CPI's annual art auction benefit was a resounding success this year, bringing the organization a much-needed boost in funding at this critical time in our development. Art Beyond Barswas held on November 18th, 2008, at the Salvage Vanguard Theater and had record attendance. Music provided by the Ephraim Owens Trio and Sara Hickman kept the crowd swaying while they bid on unique items including inmate art and deluxe packages. The live auction, led by Gayle Stallings of FUNauctions and Deb from 101X, provided great entertainment value as well as some real suspense! Guests nibbled from a gorgeous spread of catered treats and drank wine when they weren't busy mingling or bidding.

At the end of the evening, the proceeds were the most CPI had ever raised from a charity event. It was a thrilling result for CPI and everyone who worked so hard to make Art Beyond Bars a success. Planning is already underway for this year's auction--we can't wait to see you there!
